Contemporary Club sets meeting date

The Clarence Contemporary Club will hold a meeting on Tuesday, March 20, at the Protocol Restaurant, 6766 Transit Road, Williamsville. Paula Hinz, co-chairwoman of the Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival, will speak on the “Story of the Japanese Garden.” A luncheon and meeting will follow. Brothers of Mercy seeks volunteers

The Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehab Center is looking for volunteers. The assignment requires pushing wheelchairs to and from the in-house rehabilitation clinics. Volunteer openings are also available in the gift shop. Those who are interested can call Valerie at 759-7617.

ABC Bel Canto set for five-choir concert

The ABC Bel Canto Choir-Vivace, Boston Children’s Choir, Chautauqua Youth Chorale, Hochstein Youth Singers and the Young People’s Chorus of Erie will perform at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Clarence Presbyterian Church, 9675 Main St.

Flag football clinic slated for March

A coed flag football clinic will take place at the Clarence Church of Christ, 5375 Old Goodrich Road, Clarence, each Wednesday in March. The clinic is for children in grades five through 12 and will run from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. The cost for the program is $50.
