Clarence Community & Schools Federal Credit Union recently announced that Clarence High School senior Teia DePasquale is this year’s recipient of the Louis J. Nanni Memorial Scholarship.

“Teia is a very deserving recipient. Like Mr. Nanni, Teia continues to demonstrate her strong sense of service within her community,” said Brian Schmidt, scholarship committee chair and CCSFCU board member. “Teia has completed over 150 hours of community service and continues her service today.”

DePasquale wrote about the impact that helping others has had on her, which echo Nanni’s vision. She is one step closer to her career goal as she has been accepted to Canisius College to pursue her CPA/MBA in accounting.

The Louis J. Nanni Memorial Scholarship has been given for the last 15 years in honor of the credit union’s long-time manager, Louis J. Nanni.

Clarence Community & Schools Federal Credit Union serves the Clarence, Amherst and Akron areas. CCSFCU offers a complete line of financial services including savings, loans, home mortgages, checking products as well as online and home banking services.

The credit union was started in 1954 for the employees of the Clarence Central Schools. It expanded its field of membership to include the employees and officials of the Town of Clarence, and the Clarence Senior Citizens. A community charter allowed the union to serve the entire Clarence community beginning in 2001.
