St. Stephen’s UCC will hold music night

St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, 8520 Tonawanda Creek Road, will host a night of music at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15. The program, presented by Caryn Gunderson, will feature the music of Piazzolla, Eva Cassidy, Harold Arlen and others. All proceeds of the freewill offering will benefit the Kevin Guest House of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as Buffalo General. If headed to the church from Transit Road, proceed east on Tonawanda Creek Road and ignore “road closed” signs.

Fishing Derby date slated for April 14

The Clarence Fishing Derby will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14, at the Clarence Town Park. Onsite registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The event is geared toward ages 15 and younger and will feature prizes and games.

Nativity to host pickleball program

Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4375 Harris Hill Road, Williamsville, will hold a 10-week pickleball program from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings in April. For more information, call George at 390-6074.

Men’s softball league seeks players

High School PTO sets chicken dinner

The Clarence High School PTO/Post-Prom Committee will host a Chiavetta’s chicken dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. on the day of the school budget vote, which takes place Tuesday, May 15. Dinners are $10 each and will include chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and a roll with butter. Pre-orders are recommended. Contact Gretchen Burden at 270-7053 for reservations. All proceeds benefit the Clarence High School Post-Prom Committee.

Contemporary Club will hold fundraiser

The Clarence Contemporary Club will hold its annual fundraiser, “International Festival of Food, Friends & Music,” from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Our Lady of Peace Parish Center, 10950 Main St. Clarence. Tickets are $45 per person and include dinner, two beverage tickets and entry for a door prize. A basket raffle and split club will also be available. Arts Society to host social media seminar

The Clarence Arts and Crafts Society will host a social media seminar, presented by BARQAR Marketing, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clarence Town Park Club House on Saturday, April 21. Brad Smith, CEO of BARQAR Marketing, and his team will outline the steps to build a strong social media presence that gets results. They will outline steps to not only strengthen an online presence but also drive real business. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing clarencearts@gmail.com.
