The Voortman Cookie Silver Surfers pulled out a hard-fought 5-3 victory over True Buffalo Apparel in the 50+ Senior Wood Bat Softball League on Saturday at Cheektowaga Town Park.

An excellent relay from the outfield cut down another run as Ben Wilson of the Surfers scooped the throw and made the tag out at the plate.

Trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, the Surfers pounded six straight hits after two outs to take a 5-3 lead.
