Green practices help protect environment

Thank you to all of the residents who recycled their old electronics at my free drop-off event earlier this spring.

Safely disposing of old, unwanted electronics helps to protect our environment. This green practice had a positive impact on our environment this year. A total of 359,452 pounds of hazardous electronic waste was recycled, instead of going to a landfill.

The success of the event would not have been possible without our hardworking student volunteers from Williamsville and Clarence high schools. Also, thank you to our community partners: Sunnking Electronics Recycling and Spectrum.

Again, thank you to our residents, students and community partners for caring so much about our environment.

State Sen. Michael
Ranzenhofer
